Old Spice guy lands a movie role with Bateman and Aniston

Usually, I might groan at news like this, but Isaiah Mustafa (Old Spice guy) seems talented. The actor and former NFL player revealed to THR that he has a role in Horrible Bosses, starring Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston. Sadly, he also has a role in Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Oh, and he has a guest role on TV series Chuck as a first role in his new contract with NBC. It seems getting 120 million people to visit Old Spice's YouTube channel and raising Old Spice sales by 107% will get you noticed.

Here's a snippet from the interview.

The Hollywood Reporter: What has this roller-coaster year been like?

Isaiah Mustafa: It's a dream come true. It was a couple of lucky occurrences that had to happen for me to get the commercial. I missed the first audition but made the second one they scheduled because they hadn't found anyone. They said they were going to book me, but I didn't get the call. I said "Forget it" and put it out of my head. Then they called after Christmas. I think about it all, and it wows me.

Good for him. Now, how do we get the writing team behind those Old Spice YouTube videos a job? They deserve it most of all.
