First screenshots of Brave leak, Pixar's first fairy tale

Cars 2 may have been a bit of a let down, but there is still hope for Brave, Pixar's next film--the first original movie its made since Up and its first with a female lead. The first screenshot (see above) has leaked thanks to Entertainment Weekly and Stitch Kingdom. The official poster is below.

Brave, formerly known as The Bear and the Bow, follows Merida, the daughter of royalty in the ancient days of Scotland. She is a skilled archer who, it appears, shoots a beast (perhaps a bear?) or something else that causes problems for her village that she must deal with. That's honestly all we know so far. The film hits theaters June 22, 2012 and is directed by Mark Andrews, who directed One man Band, a Pixar short, and wrote Jack-Jack Attack, a hidden short from The Incredibles
