Watch the birds devour Hitchcock

No, not those birds and that Hitchcock. Come on. He's dead. This is a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock and The Birds (1963) by Brosmind Studios. Below is his famous silhouette, used plentifully throughout his career. I'll leave you in suspense about the rest.

A new intro for TRON from the guy behind Hitchcock's intros

I don't think I'm going to post anything serious today. Here is a great mock-up of what the opening credits to Tron might have looked like if Saul Bass had designed them. For the unacquainted, Soul Bass designed the title sequences for about sixty movies, including some Hitchcock classics like Psycho, Vertigo, Alien, Big, and Goodfellas. Talented guy. Thanks to THR (via SciFi Squad) for the link.

Watch all of Alfred Hitchcock's cameo appearances

There is only one Alfred Hitchcock. He made some of the most interesting and suspenseful movies of all time including North by Northwest, Vertigo, Psycho, Blackmail, and Birds. (Watch them, if you haven't already.) One of his many trademarks was to have a cameo appearance in every film he made. Some of these are pretty easy to spot, like a Stan Lee cameo in a Marvel movie, but others are more veiled. Cinematical found this great video detailing each cameo. For a listing of what you're watching, check out this List of Hitchcock cameo appearances. Stay tuned for more Hitchcock videos. I'll be posting them here and there. He's one of the most fascinating filmmakers to watch.

New trailer for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland"

When I first saw the trailer for "Alice in Wonderland" I thought it was a bit Burton-by-numbers. Burton has such a unique style that sometimes he relies on it too closely. With that said, it's starting to grow on me, as is the insane mashing of different technologies used to get the look in this film. Are you guys excited?

More news after the jump.
