'Chronicle' final trailer is the best yet

Chronicle is hitting theaters tonight at midnight, and to celebrate, 20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the Cloverfield-style superhero movie. The story here is pretty simple: three highschool students discover a giant hole in the ground that gives them super powers. The question is, what do you do when you can do anything? Nothing can harm them and soon their “lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over,” according to the plot synopsis. Sounds fun. The special effects look good too, especially considering the low $15 million budget. Then again, District 9 wowed us a couple years ago with a budget of only $30 million and Cloverfield only had a $25 million budget, so anything is possible. So far, the more I see of it, the more excited I get.

Check out this amazing fan-made, 1950s-style trailer for 'Inception'!

Needless to say, movie trailers have changed a lot in the past 60 years.  Trailers have steadily become bigger, badder, and some might argue, more effective.  Sometimes horrible movies have amazing trailers, and sometimes great movies are undermined by bad ones.

To see just how much trailers have evolved, check out an awesome 1950s version of the Inception trailer, as well as the real trailer, after the jump.

This is sweet: Big Bag Big Boom, a wall-painted animation (video)

I want to know how much time it took to make this 10 minute stop-motion video. It looks like years in the making. It starts out with a literal big bang, and follows life through a coastal city. Seriously, awesome. The film is made by Blu, who can be found at (thanks to Nerdcore for the link). The video is below.
