'Hunger Games' Super Bowl trailer - When food is raffled by the rich

I do not know much about The Hunger Games but it’s rumored to be the next big movie series for teens. The film is based on the first of a book series by Suzanne Collins and is about a futuristic society where the rich have so much power and control that they actually force each of the country’s 12 districts of workers to sacrifice one of their own citizens to do battle with one another until only one lives. The winning district gets food and supllies to last at least a year. The star of the movie is Jennifer Lawrence, who plays a young girl from District 12, forced to kill or be killed.

Stephen King's 'Rose Madder' headed for the big screen

After the uncertainty following the development of the legendary Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, it may be time for fans to turn their hopes towards a more concrete project. Rose Madder, written in 1995 by none other than King himself, has been picked up for a film adaptation by Palomar Pictures. Naomi Sheridan, who co-wrote and earned an Oscar nomination for In America back in 2002, wrote the screen adaptation. The story follows a woman who escapes from her abusive husband and attempts to start over in a different city. While rebuilding her life, she falls in love with a painting and discovers that she has the ability to actually travel inside the work of art. Shooting is planned to begin in the next 18 months.

Gordon-Levitt and Johannson to star in zombie romance (rumor)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlet Johannson are "loosely" attached to star in Breathers: A Zombie's Lament, according to Pajiba. The script, written by Diablo Cody, is adapted from a novel of the same name. In a twist from the many other zombie films out there, this one will be about love, of all things. The book follows an undead man (Gordon-Levitt) who must come to grips with living as a decaying mound of flesh in a society that denies zombies basic rights. Johannson, I assume, falls in love with the dead guy. Sheesh. Women will fall in love with anything these days.

Finally! Harry Potter becomes Lord of the Rings (new Deathly Hallows trailer)

I've been waiting for the Harry Potter films to get as epic as Lord of the Rings for a decade. Finally, it might happen. If not, this trailer is a big liar! Granted, I haven't read the books, because I want to see the entire series in movie form first, but I've always thought the movies stopped short of being true epics. Some get close (Prisoner of Azkaban), but others fall short (Half-Blood Prince). Still, few of them retain the magic of the books either, or so I'm told by "book readers." I say, if you aren't going to stay true to the novels, at least make some epic shit. It looks like Deathly Hallows, the two-part finale, might end the series on the climactic note it's deserved for some time now. Am I crazy?
