'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' trailer - What's there and what's missing

I’ve missed Middle Earth. It’s been 10 years since The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring hit theaters, and we’re still a year away from the first Hobbit movie’s release, but at least we now know things are looking up. A few hours ago, Peter Jackson released the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is the first of two films based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s first novel about Middle Earth, The Hobbit. The journey stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins with Ian McKellen returning as Gandalf the Wizard and takes place about 50-60 years before Lord of the Rings

ROBIN HOOD is a big lie, but "OK" action movie (review)

Rating: (Passable)

We're about to learn how much blatant fabrication movie audiences will endure. Robin Hood has almost nothing in common with the legendary tale it's based on, and I see no evidence that anyone involved in this film had a lick of interest in the legendary outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Instead, we get a 45-year-old Russell Crowe (Robin) shooting and stabbing bands of Frenchmen in the forest. Don't get me wrong, this is a decent action flick, but Universal Pictures and Director Ridley Scott lied when they named it Robin Hood.

Here are a bunch of HOBBIT casting updates!

TheOneRing.net has a few Hobbit casting updates from Peter Jackson. In an interview with New Zealand's TV3, Jackson said that he's delivering the script for the second half of The Hobbit right about now and filming is still on schedule to begin in April or May, 2010. He also confirmed that Ian McKellen had read the script. Videos and quotes are after the jump.
