'Jeff Who Lives at Home' trailer - Jason Segal attempts to soil my good name

You know, I’ve had a pretty good run with the name Jeff. Yeah, my initials JVC are the same as the major electronics company, but it could have been worse; I could have been named Michael Bolton. Still, it irks me to see the Duplass brothers try to ruin the good thing I have going. Their new film Jeff Who Lives at Home portrays we Jeffs as the type who live at home with our parents until we’re well into our 30s. It’s not true, I tell you! If I wasn’t pretty sure this would be a good movie, I might be offended.

'Hangover' stars to get $15 million a piece to make part III

It looks like The Hangover III could be getting the go ahead soon, with the three main stars set to sign on for a substantial pay increase, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are each asking for $15 million (against backend) to sign on for the second sequel and it looks as though Warner is ready to pay. The studio is short of all-but-guaranteed hits, having already kissed goodbye to one major franchise following the final installment of Harry Potter and with Christopher Nolan’s Batman series coming to an end this summer.

THE HANGOVER is the best-selling comedy DVD of all time

The Hangover just keeps setting records. The highest grossing comedy of 2009 is now the highest grossing comedy DVD ever, and it's done it in about 20 days. According to a Warner Bros. press release, The Hangover has sold 8.6 million units on DVD and Blu-ray with sales expected to reach 9.5 million in the upcoming months. The comedy made $467 million worldwide during its theatrical run this summer, making it the biggest R-rated comedy of all time. Good times for Zach Galifianakis and friends.

The Hangover gets a sequel

Looking at the surprise $200+ million haul for The Hangover it’s hardly news that Warner Bros. has officially greenlit the sequel, according to Variety. Todd Phillips—who also directed Road Trip, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch—is back to helm the sequel. All of the main cast members: Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms are back on board as well. The movie is set to start filming as quickly as October. I’m scared for the plot if it actually meets that deadline. Phillips and Scot Armstrong have supposedly been working on the sequel’s script since the movie’s release.

For those of you who are big Zach Galifianakis fans like me (remember Out Cold and his VH1 Talk show?), you’ll be happy to know that he’s going to star in another Todd Phillips movie called Due Date.
