'Chronicle' final trailer is the best yet

Chronicle is hitting theaters tonight at midnight, and to celebrate, 20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the Cloverfield-style superhero movie. The story here is pretty simple: three highschool students discover a giant hole in the ground that gives them super powers. The question is, what do you do when you can do anything? Nothing can harm them and soon their “lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over,” according to the plot synopsis. Sounds fun. The special effects look good too, especially considering the low $15 million budget. Then again, District 9 wowed us a couple years ago with a budget of only $30 million and Cloverfield only had a $25 million budget, so anything is possible. So far, the more I see of it, the more excited I get.

'The Hunger Games' trailer - It leaves you starving for more

I’ve been going back and forth on whether I wanted to read the novel before the movie comes out, but after watching The Hunger Games trailer, it’s definitely made it onto my reading list. But I also remember how disappointed I was with the subsequent film based off the novel. Though, to be fair, it makes for a pretty decent B-movie now. Fortunately,The Hunger Games looks like it’ll do justice to the original story.
