This weekend's new releases - ALICE IN WONDERLAND and BROOKLYN'S FINEST

Another weekend has arrived, and it couldn't be soon enough. I can't wait to relax, watch some good movies, and fill up on popcorn. Hollywood is slow lately. We get a few new releases each week as Avatar fever slowly dies down, but it's been pretty weak. Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island (review) is the first real hit we've had in 2010. It has been on top of the box office for the past two weekends and should crack $100 million in the near future. This weekend Tim Burton's long awaited Alice in Wonderland (sequel) hits theaters along with Brooklyn's Finest. Can you guess who's coming out on top?

Trailers, info, and my thoughts on each release after the jump.

Weekend Preview - It's 2012 or PIRATE RADIO for you...

What a weekend. Apparently no one wants to face the apocalypse head-to-head because the only competition for 2012 is Pirate Radio and it's in about a third of the theaters. What the hell happened to John Cusack's career, anyway? If I remember right, it was respectable at one time, but I can't remember a good film he's been in since Identity and Runaway Jury in 2003. Maybe he thinks the world is ending in two years.

Weekend Preview - AMELIA, SAW VI, ASTRO BOY, CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT

Hollywood needs to be more stable with its wide releases. Two weeks ago we only had "Couples Retreat" hit theaters; last week we had four new releases; now we have four more this week; but next week Michael Jackson's post-humous "This is It" is the only film on the docket...and it's not really a film at all! Below is a preview of this week's major box office releases. I've included a trailer, description, rating, and my early thoughts on what you should expect. Enjoy.
